“I’ve been meaning to write you for the past week or more but have been so busy with caring for my parents, life has gotten in the way of my good intentions.  My husband and I cannot begin to thank you for the amazing job you did planning and orchestrating Colin and Laura’s wedding!! Everything was absolutely beautiful and all your special touches made the day all the more wonderful.  Your staff, the DJ and the minister were all amazing as well.  We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day!
To get to where they are today, Colin and Laura have gone through a lot in their young lives.   Thank you for putting your heart and soul into writing such a beautiful first chapter for their new beginning.  I will be forever grateful the Hammond was available for June 21st and most importantly, we discovered you!!”
Have a wonderful summer.Warmest Regards,
Deborah

“We gave Nisa three months to put together a wedding for 190 people at the Hammond Museum as we wanted to get married quickly. (We wanted our grandparents involved before it was too late)  We found her to be exceptionally warm and easy to work with.  With only three months to plan, Nisa presented us with a wealth of options with only a bit of input from us as to what we wanted. (Country elegance, comfort food, simplicity) After a couple of rounds of narrowing the final concept, Nisa went to work and we just sat back and relaxed, fully confident in the wedding plans she laid out for us.  The day of the wedding was flawless.  Every aspect of Nisa’s design was perfect and she went above and beyond, providing us with great surprises she put together based on our personalities.  It felt as though a good friend had planned our wedding.  There was not a single critical review among our guests.  It felt as though every person said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. (Word made it back to us from various people that people were in fact telling this to eachother when my wife and I were not present) It was a most pleasant confirmation as to how wonderful the entire day was.  We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding, a better wedding planner, and finer memories.  Nisa is exquisite!”
I hope you enjoy!  It’s the truth!
Thanks again!

My husband and I were very lucky to have met someone like Nisa to successfully interpret and enhance the vision we had of our wedding. She is extremely creative, very resourceful and accommodating. Nisa is a full service caterer. The food and service were excellent. We wanted to serve food that people would remember and Nisa did just that. She provided us with a menu that appealed to both our palates and wallets. On the day of the wedding, I had no worries. She and her incredible staff made our wedding a true success. I highly recommend Nisa Lee for your wedding. – Vanessa, Bride

Marrying “Ugly”

On June 28th, Nisa catered the wedding of one of the stars of “Ugly Betty”.  The wedding and reception were held at co-star Vanessa Williams’ home in Westchester with many stars in attendance including co-star Judith Light, actresses Blake Lively and Rebecca Romjin to name a few. Nisa provided all of the culinary delights, as well as the design and creation of décor for the big day. Nisa tailored the cuisine to match the couple’s request for “local and fresh summertime country wedding fare spiced with exotic touches” said Nisa.

The menu included a Chorizo Sausage softened with garden basil with lavender honey drizzle which was served with a salad of local garden greens, jicama with Champagne, mango and lime dressing, followed by a traditional favorite, corn on the cob given a spicy twist with cilantro lime butter washed down with some Shiner Bock, the groom’s favorite Texas beer.  As a further tribute to the couples Latin and Texas “South of the Border” backgrounds, handmade Mexican fruit popsicles were served to help cool guests down from the heat.   “I think it was a really beautiful, passionate wedding in a comfortable relaxed setting” said Nisa, People Magazine Article – June 2011

“Thank you, thank you, thank you.  It was a glorious event!  Everyone commented about the delicious food and the beautiful presentation. What they did not know was how pleasurable it was putting the whole thing together with Nisa and the efforts she made to assure that on that day, we had exactly the event WE envisioned!  It could not have been better!  We just wish it could have gone on and on.”  Carol and Anan – Bride & Groom

True happiness lies in the eye of the beholder.  With over 10 years of being together, Matt Rosenstein and Nick Kurczewski made it official with their marriage on December 8th at Gary’s Loft,www.garysloft.com.
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Matt and Nick lost everything in their apartment in lower Manhattan’s South Street Seaport forcing them to relocate.
Despite their challenges of starting new and relocating from a friends apartment to a hotel and then to a new apartment, they endured the obstacles of losing everything. Instead they focused on maintaining a sense of happiness and composure as they let go of what happened in hope for a happier journey together as a married couple less than two weeks after the storm.  Over 120 guests join them to celebrate their union with signature drinks aptly named in their honor – Nick at Nite (prosecco and crème de cassis) and Midtown Matt (Finlandia grapefruit vodka and tonic). After a beautiful and heart warming ceremony, guests enjoyed signature vegetable spring rolls, grilled beef kebobs,

chicken sate with Agave peanuts sauce, sweet potato curry puffs, baby bella with red curry sauce, butterfly shrimp and roasted coconut.  Vegetable pad thai was served in white frosted mini “take-out” style containers and placed hanging throughout the reception for everyone to enjoy.A station of festive Asian flavors, featuring favorites of Matt & Nick’s, included Asian salad with sunflower seeds and crunchy noodles, sauteed chicken with cashews and spinach, Japanese eggplant and French beans, Panang Winter Rooted Roasted Vegetables, and Saigon Beef and Asparagus.

Here’s what the couple had to say about the wedding:
“From the very first meeting with Nisa Lee, we knew that we wouldn’t just be working on a ‘menu’ with her, but on creating a lifecycle event that would be a highlight of our lives. She worked with our tastes while using foresight and creativity to take us further and truly delight our guests. Throughout the months and weeks leading to our wedding she kept our minds at ease and responded to each question and each issue with calming and professional flair. We went through the wedding with clear minds and hearts, knowing that everything was in good hands. Needless to say, the food and presentation were top notch and we had the time of our lives. Our guests left almost as thrilled as we were! Thank you Nisa!”
